Chartographer
PREVIEW
Desktop charting — a professional workspace in the TradingView class, with an agent-readable canvas.
Chartographer is a native desktop application for serious chart work. Layouts, studies, drawings, watchlists, and multi-monitor space live in a local app — not a browser tab. The canvas stays addressable for supervised agents on the Artifice research mesh.
Chartographer Desktop is in preview. Downloads, platforms, studies, tools, agent APIs, and availability may change as rollout continues.
What it covers
- Native desktop application for Windows and other platforms as they ship
- Candles, axes, crosshair, zoom, and live legend values
- Drawing tools for lines, rays, guides, notes, regions, Fib retracements, channels, and position markup
- On-chart overlays and separate study panes
- Multi-layout and multi-monitor workspace
- Volume and execution context
- Hoverable and clickable markers for receipts, trades, and review flows
- Theme and layout hooks shared with terminals and Console where those surfaces still embed charts
Agent control
Chartographer exposes chart state through explicit handles so software can work with the canvas directly.
Agents can use those handles to:
- Jump to a timestamp or range
- Move the viewport
- Park the crosshair on a candle
- Patch overlay settings
- Refresh studies
- Refer to drawings and markers by stable IDs
- Send chart events back into receipts, approvals, or logs
The chart remains a supervised surface. Agent activity should connect to the same confirmation, receipt, and audit flows used elsewhere in Artifice.
MCP support for Chartographer is in development. Future tools may inspect chart context, reference ranges, studies, drawings, and markers, or prepare review notes while staying inside the permission model.
How it relates to Artifice
Chartographer is the desktop charting product on Artifice. The engine can still power charts in other surfaces, but the product is a standalone desktop application. Scripts and studies stay aligned between the desktop workspace, backtests, and validation.
See the product page.
Availability
Treat Chartographer Desktop as preview software rather than a complete download. Public availability, enabled studies, extension support, and licensing terms depend on surface and rollout stage.
Licensing
Chartographer and the underlying chart engine are not freely licensed for public, commercial, embedded, or redistributed use outside approved Artifice surfaces.
If you need a license — for a website, app, SaaS product, dashboard, client deliverable, or white-label embedding — contact Artifice before shipping. See For builders.
